Sejak berdiri tahun 2005, Yayasan REEF CHECK Indonesia, terus berkembang menjadi salah satu  wadah untuk menjembatani pengetahuan dengan kebutuhan di masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat pesisir. Disokong oleh tiga pilar, Reef Check terus berproses untuk mengambil posisi yang tepat sebagai mitra, baik bagi masyarakat, dunia usaha, pemerintah maupun bagi lembaga lain, termasuk juga lembaga-lembaga swadaya lainnya.

Tahun 2010, tepatnya terhitung sejak Agustus, Reef Check Indonesia mulai dikelola oleh wajah-wajah segar.

Jensi Sartin - Chairperson

His love of the marine world began during his college years in Diponegoro University. He has actively participated in several trainings, and  has been directly involved in practical conservation actions since joining RCFI in 2008.  Since 2010, he has been been trusted as the chairman of RCFI.


Dewi Sri- Office Manager

A graduate in marine science from Diponegoro University, this fish scientist is also an active blogger. Since 2010, she has been the trustee of RCFI’s  administration and finance.


Derta Purwita- Field Staff-North Bali Program

Derta’s time is devoted to working with communities. In addition to his expertise in coral identification, he has actively involved in environmental education. Since 2009, he been the community development officer in north Bali.

Riyan Heri Pamungkas- Field Staff-Amed,East Bali Program

Reef fish identification is his specialization. Riyan’s arrival in 2010 completed RCFI’s rejuvenation. He is responsible for programs in Amed which in collaboration with the Coral Reef Alliance.

Naneng Setiasih-Consultant-Coral Reef and Climate Change Panel Expert

Naneng Setiasih, Coral Reef Alliance Coral Triangle Regional Manager. She has been involved with Reef Check since 2000. A Biology Graduate from ITB, she continued her post-graduate studies in the management of tropical natural resources at this institution and at the School of Environmental Science, University of East Anglia in England. Naneng is the Foundation expert on coral reefs and climate change. She is one of a small number of experts in the Asia Pacific region to pay serious attention to the study of the impacts of global climate change on coral reefs as well as possible mitigation and adaptation measures.
